Thiruvananthapuram: The renovation projects taken up as part of the Central Swadesh Darshan Scheme in the areas surrounding the Sree Padmanabhas-wamy Temple is all set to miss the March 31 deadline with works progressing at a snail’s’ pace. Ahead of the visit by Prime Minister Narendra Modi two months back, a slew of finishing works was undertaken in the area. Another pedestrian said that dilapidated road, street vending and haphazard parking are turning it a bottleneck here. The final tarring of the road will be done once the KSEB finishes the underground cabling work.
