Miscreants slash udders and stab legs of three cows in Bengaluru

The Hindu

In a shocking incident of cruelty to animals, miscreants slashed the udders and stabbed the legs of three cows, which were resting by the street side at Pension Mohalla, Chamarajpet, here on Saturday night, leaving them writhing in pain in a pool of blood. The incident came to light on Sunday morning when passers-by found the cows moaning in pain and bleeding and alerted the owner, Karna, reportedly a Hindutva activist in the area. Z. Zameer Ahmed Khan, also the MLA for Chamarajpet, visited the veterinary hospital where the three injured cows are being treated and condemned the incident. “Those who have done this to mute animals do not deserve to be considered human beings at all,” he said, adding he would personally buy new cows to their owner, as these cows won’t be able to provide milk anymore.
