Political leaders actively participating in Vinayaka Chaviti celebrations in Visakhapatnam in view of elections in 2024
The HinduKeeping in view the general elections in 2024, political parties, their leaders and activists are actively taking part in Vinayaka Chaviti celebrations in Visakhapatnam. Yuvaseva Foundation at Thatichetlapalem in the city created a Ganesh pandal resembling polling booth, in order to create awareness among people about the need for voting. For Ganesh festivals in Sivajipalem in the city, leaders and activists of political parties have contributed generously to pandal organisers to celebrate the festival in a grand manner. Srihari Naidu, one of the organisers of the Ganesh pandal, said, “This is the last festival before the elections, so this time all the political leaders have come forward to participate in the festival with the intention of getting some publicity.” According to the City Commissionerate of Police, around 700 applications have been received for setting up of Ganesh pandals in the city, and the number is likely to increase to 1,000.
