‘Skinnathon’ to dispel myths about skin diseases in Bengaluru on March 2

To raise awareness about skin health and dispel myths surrounding skin diseases, Bangalore Dermatological Society, in collaboration with Indian Association of Dermatologists, Venereologists and Leprologists Karnataka branch, will organise ‘Skinnathon’ in the city on Sunday. This event aims to raise awareness about the risks of seeking treatment from unqualified practitioners and emphasises the importance of trusting certified professionals for proper skin care. “The aim is to create awareness among people regarding excessive steroid use, self-medications and the need to adopt good practices for skin care. Manjunath Hulmani, president, IADVL, Karnataka branch, said the run is mainly dedicated to dispelling myths surrounding skin diseases due to which most people go to fake doctors.
