
Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti vows effective implementation of SC, ST Sub-Plan
The HinduDeputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka has reaffirmed the State government’s commitment to implementing the SC, ST Sub-Plan in true spirit, emphasizing that there will be no compromise in its execution. A meeting of departmental secretaries has been convened to review the implementation of the sub-plan and assess fund allocations, he said and stressed the government’s responsibility to allocate 10% of funds under the SC, ST Sub-Plan and urged tribal representatives to inform their communities that the plan’s implementation is a result of the “Indiramma government” in the State. He announced plans to revive Integrated Tribal Development Agencies, allocate necessary budgets, and provide training to unemployed youth to help them pursue self-employment opportunities. He credited the Congress governments with enacting key legislations such as the PESA Act, Forest Rights Act, MNREGA, and the SC, ST Sub-Plan to safeguard the rights of marginalized communities.
