What's your average screen time per day? Ensuring well-being in the age of screen

The ubiquitous presence of screens, our constant interaction with them and the increasing time spent on them is a constant reminder that this is the ‘Age of Screen’. According to Moorfield Eye Hospital in London, prolonged use of smartphones, computer screens, or other tech devices, can occasionally result in blurred vision, eye fatigue, dry or irritated eyes and headaches, which has been collectively termed as “computer vision syndrome.” Another ongoing debate among eye care specialists is about the blue light or high energy visible light that all digital screens emit. We cannot escape the Age of Screen, we can continue to leverage the wonder of visuality, by choosing the products and devices that focus on minimizing the harmful effects of screens and promote wellbeing. Today, screens are enabled with low blue light technology and a flicker-free display designed to address user concerns around eye fatigue and other health issues.
