McDonald’s adding Spicy Chicken McNuggets and Chips Ahoy! McFlurry to menu

On Tuesday, the fast food chain confirmed that, from 16 September, it will be offering a fiery version of its classic nuggets: Spicy Chicken McNuggets. The Spicy Chicken McNuggets will be made using a tempura coating featuring plenty of cayenne and chilli peppers, and will also come with the new Mighty Hot Sauce – the chain’s first new dipping sauce since 2017 – which is a blend of crushed red pepper, spicy chillies, and garlic. “This is the first time we’ve introduced a new flavour of our classic Chicken McNuggets in the US since they came to menus in 1983,” said Linda VanGosen, vice president of menu innovation. Customers in the UK will be no stranger to the fast food chain’s Spicy Chicken McNuggets, which first launched in August 2019 before making a brief reappearance in January 2020.
