Andhra Pradesh Ranks 3rd Among Best Performing States Under PMAY-Urban
News 18Andhra Pradesh has emerged as one of the top performing states under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Friday participated in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s video conference to lay the foundation stone for six light house projects under Global Housing Technology Challenge-India and the distribution of PMAY- urban and ASHA – India awards. The chief minister said it is a previlege and an honour for the state of Andhra Pradesh to be selected as one of the best performing states in the country in the implementation of PMYA. During the interaction, the chief minister extended New Year greetings to Prime Minister Modi and others on behalf of the people of Andhra Pradesh. The chief minister thanked Prime Minister Modi for encouraging the state in that regard and also congratulated him for launching ‘Global Housing Technology Challenge- India’ for identifying sustainable, ecofriendly and disaster resilient technologies from across the globe for housing and construction sector.
