Trinamool, BJP criticise Rahul Gandhi for posting ‘incorrent’ date of death for Netaji

The Trinamool Congress and Bharatiya Janata Party leadership in West Bengal criticised Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for a social media post on Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose which mentioned that the late freedom fighter had died on August 18, 1945. Offering a tribute to the great revolutionary on his birth anniversary, Mr. Gandhi put up a photograph of Netaji on social media platform X and captioned it as “January 23, 1897 - August 18, 1945”. We don’t know whether the theory regarding the air crash accident of Netaji is true,” Kunal Ghosh of Trinamool Congress told media persons. “I strongly protest with the claim that Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose died on 18th August 1945, as stated in social media posts by @RahulGandhi!I also demands that Rahul Gandhi to apologize within the next 24 hours for showing disrespect to Netaji, who was the first Prime Minister of India,” he said.
