Tangra triple murder: Survivors discharged from hospital, moved to State-run health facility for further questioning

The Hindu

The three survivors of the car accident that led to the revelation of a triple murder in a family in Kolkata’s Tangra have been discharged from a private healthcare facility and moved to State-run Nil Ratan Sarkar Medical College and Hospital, police sources said on Monday. A top officer with Kolkata Police said the family’s Tangra house has been sealed for investigation and none of their relatives have offered to house the Deys for the time-being. For the uninitiated, brothers Prasun Dey and Pranay Dey, and Pranay’s minor son Pratip Dey were admitted to a private hospital in the city on February 19 after their vehicle met with an accident at Eastern Metropolitan Bypass. After the accident, one of the brothers informed the police that the bodies of Prasun’s wife Romi, Pranay’s wife Sudeshna, and Prasun’s minor daughter were at their Tangra house.
