The Hindu

Sanjay Kumar Singh, Deputy Director General of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi, spoke about the challenges faced by the Indian spice sector on the sidelines of the 11th National symposium on Spices and Aromatic Crops in Kozhikode recently. South East Asian countries such as Indonesia and Thailand, besides Sri Lanka and Madagascar, are the biggest competitors in the world spice market.
