BJP minister uses app to reach out to voters

Deccan Chronicle

Jaipur: While members of Parliament and other contestants from across the political spectrum are busy making the rounds in their respective constituencies ahead of the forthcoming Lok Sabha polls, minister of state for law and justice P.P. Mr Chaudhary, a BJP contestant from the Pali Lok Sabha constituency in Rajasthan, has already reached out “digitally” to almost every voter in the constituency, courtesy of an app on his phone named Team NaMo. Armed with data on every booth in his constituency, Team NaMo gives the minister an option to call workers from any list of party post holders in his constituency. It is learnt that the senior BJP leader has personally called each booth president and panna pramukh using the app’s database to ensure that campaign material reaches every home. The trial for the app was done during the recent Rajasthan Assembly polls by the minister’s team and is now being used in the parliamentary constituency extensively.
