Hockey umpire's manager Virendra Singh passes away due to COVID-19 related complications

Indian hockey umpire's manager Virendra Singh has died of COVID-19 related complications and his demise was mourned by the game's governing body. He had also officiated as Umpire's Manager at the recently concluded 56th All India Veer Singh Ju Dev Memorial tournament and 5th All India Rajmata Vijay Raje Scindhiya women's tournament. Mourning his demise, Hockey India president Gyanendro Ningombam said, "We at Hockey India are deeply saddened to learn about the untimely demise of Virendra Singh.
