The 2.88-km new bridge constructed over the Kathajodi river with an investment of Rs 114 crore comes as a big relief for commuters between twin-cities Bhubaneswar and Cuttack The bridge connects Barang on the outskirts of capital city Bhubaneswar with Judicial Academy Chhak in Cuttack. Although the construction work of the bridge started after Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik laid foundation stone in February, 2011, the completion missed the original deadline by over three years. “The new bridge will usher in a new era in Twin City links by reducing distance and commuting time for the citizens.
